Firearms Handling Policy

  • Firearm transport service is only available at the check-in counter and must be processed by the Airport Services.

  • No. Firearms are not allowed in the cabin. They must be checked in and handled under strict security procedures.

    • Firearms must be unloaded and cleared of ammunition before acceptance.

    • Ammunition must be boxed separately and transported apart from the firearm.

    • All firearms are stored in a secured SI Box inside the aircraft hold and remain inaccessible during the flight.

    • Maximum of 4 firearms per flight.

    • Acceptance is on a first-confirmed, first-served basis.

  • Each passenger may transport:

    • 1 small arm (handgun)

    • 1 long firearm (rifle/shotgun)

    Note:

    • Airline provides containers only for handguns.

    • Passenger must supply their own container for long firearms.

  • Yes. The following are not accepted under any circumstances:

    • Explosives

    • Incendiary items

    • Projectile-type ammunition

    • Valid Agency ID

    • Valid License to Own and Possess Firearms (LTOPF) and Firearms Registration Card (FARC)

    • Valid Permit to Carry Firearms Outside of Residence (PTCFOR)

    • Valid Mission Order/Letter Order (MO/LO)

    • For government-issued firearms: Valid Memorandum Receipt/Acknowledgement Receipt (MR/ARE)

    • Valid Government-issued ID

    • Valid License to Own and Possess Firearms (LTOPF) and Firearms Registration Card (FARC)

    • Valid Permit to Carry Firearms Outside of Residence (PTCFOR)
