COMMON WAIVERS

  • If you are unable to travel because of medical reasons, you may choose one of the following options:

    1. Free Rebooking: Same route; new travel dates within 30 days from the original departure date. A medical certificate stating fit to travel is required for the new dates.

    2. Travel Fund: Credit is equivalent to the amount paid for your booking. Valid for 730 days (2 years).

    3. Full Refund: Processed within 60–90 business days.

    Who is eligible for the waiver?

    · MEDA guest

    · One companion

    · Immediate and extended family (whether the MEDA guest is traveling or not)

    Required Documents:

    · Medical Certificate with doctor’s PRC License, Hospital/Clinic ID, or prescription pad with license number

    · Proof of affiliation (e.g., Marriage Certificate, Birth Certificate)

    Additional supporting documents (any of the following):

    · Certificate of Confinement

    · Clinical/Medical Abstract

    · Billing Statement

    · Discharge Slip/Summary

    · Laboratory Result

    · Medicine Prescription

    · Doctor’s Consultation Report

    Important Notes:

    · Medical certificates are valid for 7 days from issuance.

    · This is a one-time request only; standard rebooking policies apply afterward.

    2. Travel Fund: Credit is equivalent to the amount paid for your booking. Valid for 730 days (2 years).

  • 4–24 Weeks Pregnant

    o Accepted for travel without a medical certificate

    o Must complete an Expectant Mother (EXMO) Information Sheet

    o Rebooking and Travel Fund allowed

    o Refund not applicable

    24–32 Weeks Pregnant

    o Medical certificate required (valid within 7 days of issuance)

    o Must complete an EXMO Information Sheet

    o Rebooking and Travel Fund allowed

    o Refund not applicable

    33 Weeks and Beyond

    o Not accepted for travel unless under urgent/humanitarian reasons

    o May be allowed with approval from:

    • Airline Company Doctor

    • Pilot-in-Command

    o Must be accompanied by a licensed medical practitioner

    o Rebooking and Travel Fund allowed

    o Refund not applicable

    Additional Notes:
