Connecting Flights

One Booking / One Fare

  • A connecting flight means your flights are booked under:

    • One ticket

    • One booking reference

    • One fare

Your trip is treated as one continuous journey.

    Example:
Clark → Cebu → Siargao under one booking.

  • No. Your checked baggage will usually be tagged directly to your final destination.

You only need to collect your baggage if advised by airport personnel.

  • Yes. Your prepaid baggage allowance applies to your entire journey under the same booking.

  • If your connecting flight is affected by a delay or cancellation, Sunlight Air will assist you with available recovery options, which may include:

    • Rebooking to the next available Sunlight Air flight

    • Adjustment of remaining flight segments when applicable

  • Please immediately proceed to the Sunlight Air service desk at the airport for assistance.

  • No. Flights must be used in sequence.

If a passenger skips one segment, the remaining flights in the booking may automatically be cancelled.

Separate Bookings / Multi-City Bookings

  • This means your flights were booked separately and are treated as independent bookings.

    Example:

    • Booking 1: Clark → Cebu

    • Booking 2: Cebu → Siargao

Even if the flights are on the same day, they are considered separate journeys.

  • Yes. For separate bookings:

    • Baggage is checked only up to each sector’s destination

    • Passengers must collect and re-check baggage for the next flight

  • No. Prepaid baggage applies per booking/sector only.

Separate bookings require separate baggage arrangements.

  • Separate bookings are managed independently. If one flight is disrupted:

    • Rebooking assistance applies only to the affected booking

    • Passengers are responsible for managing their onward flights

Missed flights under separate bookings may be treated as “No-Show.”

  • No. Since separate bookings are independent travel arrangements, onward flights are not automatically protected.

  • We strongly recommend allowing at least:
    ⏰ 2 hours between flights

    This allows enough time for:

    • Flight arrival

    • Baggage claim

    • Re-check-in

    • Security procedures

  • Our airport team may extend assistance on a best-effort basis, subject to operational conditions and availability.
