Additional Baggage

• Can I increase my baggage allowance for my booking even after I have paid for my ticket?

  Yes, you can purchase additional baggage allowance through My Booking. If you are unable to check-in online, you may email customercare@sunlightair.ph indicating your request and booking reference number at least eight (8) hours before your departure time.

  Please ensure that the request is made within official business hours. 

• How much does extra baggage allowance cost?

  • 10 kg at Php 550.00 per way

  AIRPORT BAGGAGE RATE

  • 20kg (maximum 2pcs) - Php 1,800 per way

  • Excess baggage fee - Php 350 per 1kg

  Effective October 1, 2025, prepaid baggage add-ons are standardized at 10kg per unit, priced at PHP 550 per one-way sector. Each passenger may purchase up to four (4) baggage add-ons, subject to availability and allocation.

  For routes Clark-Boracay-Clark, Clark-Coron-Clark, Clark-Siargao-Clark, Cebu-Coron-Cebu, Cebu-Siargao-Cebu, limited baggage is being offered due to aircraft weight limitation. In the event that prepaid baggage is no longer available, a 20 kg checked baggage allowance may be purchased for PHP 1,800.00 at the airport check-in counters, but it is subject to available aircraft space;

  You can avail of extra baggage allowance through My Booking at least four (4) hours before your flight.

  For bookings made through third-party platforms, baggage add-ons cannot be processed via My Booking. To request additional baggage, please email customercare@sunlightair.ph, or purchase it at the airport check-in counter.

• Are the rates for extra checked baggage allowance the same online and at the airport?

  No, the rates offered online are not applicable at the airport. The airport agent will collect a fee of Php 350.00 for every kilogram of excess baggage.

• Can I pool my baggage allowance with other passengers on the same booking?

  Yes, it is allowed, provided that the passenger shares the same PNR or booking reference as you and the combined weight of your baggage does not exceed the total allowance.

• What should I do if my baggage exceeds the weight/size limit?

  You will be asked to pay an excess baggage fee of Php 350.00 per kilogram at the airport. The size and weight allowances depend on the available space on the aircraft. If you anticipate that your baggage might exceed your baggage allowance, we suggest you purchase additional baggage allowance in advance. Please note that the rates for prepaid baggage allowance differ from those at the airport.

• Can I purchase additional baggage using my Travel Fund?

  Yes, you can purchase additional baggage allowance using your Travel Fund. You can email your request with your booking reference to customercare@sunlightair.ph at least 8 hours before your departure time.

• Is there an option to prepay for excess baggage to avoid higher charges at the airport?

  Yes, you can purchase an additional baggage allowance before your flight. It's important to ensure your baggage complies with the flight weight restrictions. You can acquire additional baggage allowance by emailing customercare@sunlightair.ph at least eight (8) hours before your scheduled flight or through My Booking at least four (4) hours before your flight.
