Sunlight Air joins PTAA’s 3rd GMM Grand Santacruzan celebration in Intramuros
INTRAMUROS, MANILA — May 23, 2025 — Sunlight Air proudly participated in the Philippine Travel Agencies Association’s (PTAA) 3rd General Membership Meeting (GMM) and Grand Santacruzan, held in the historic walled city of Intramuros. The event was organized in partnership with the Intramuros Administration and the Department of Tourism (DOT) to celebrate one of the Philippines’ most cherished cultural and religious traditions.
Before the grand procession, Sunlight Air took part in the event’s B2B Top-Up Session, where the airline engaged with key tourism stakeholders and industry partners. The platform served as an opportunity to strengthen connections, foster partnerships, and share the airline’s continued efforts to enhance domestic travel experiences.
The Santacruzan procession was a vibrant celebration of Filipino heritage, with PTAA President Evangeline Tankiang-Manotok leading as Hermana Mayor. She was joined by notable personalities including:

The parade route passed through Anda Street, Arzobispo, Real, and Gen. Luna, and concluded at Plaza Moriones in Fort Santiago. The event culminated with the crowning of the Image of the Virgin Mary and a traditional flower offering.
The celebration brought together tourism leaders, cultural advocates, and industry stakeholders in a unified display of tradition and collaboration. DOT Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco delivered the keynote address during the GMM, reinforcing the importance of cultural preservation and tourism development.
