Travel Fund

• What is a Travel Fund?

  A Travel Fund is provided to passengers in the event of flight disruptions or changes made by the airline. This credit can be applied towards future bookings with Sunlight Air, offering passengers the choice of a Travel Fund as an alternative to a refund.

• How to redeem a Travel Fund?

  For travel funds stored under booking reference, you can send an email to customercare@sunlightair.ph and specify your flight request with the following details below.  

  • Passenger/s Full Name:  

  • Date of Birth: 

  • Flight Route: 

  • Preferred Travel Dates: 

  • Number of Passengers (Adults/Children/Infants):  

  • Special Requests (wheelchair, baggage, seat): 

  • Primary Mobile Number: 

  • Primary Email Address: 

  Alternatively, you can use it as a payment method when booking a flight at any Sunlight Air pop-up selling booths during travel expos or fairs. You can easily apply the Travel Fund to reduce the total cost when booking your new flight. 

  For travel funds generated through a voucher code, you may redeem it when booking through our official website www.sunlightair.ph. Simply enter your travel fund code provided to you via encrypted email on the payment page to apply the available balance. Enter your Travel Fund code to check your available balance on the “Apply a travel voucher” field. Click “Search” to display the value associated with your Travel Fund, then select “Apply voucher” to use it toward your booking. 

  • If the Travel Fund amount is higher than the total fare, the remaining balance stays valid until its expiration date.   

  • If the Travel Fund amount is lower, you can pay the remaining amount using any available payment method. 

• Can I use my Travel Fund to book a promo fare?

  For travel funds stored under booking reference, you can purchase promotional fares offered at our booth at travel expos or fairs using your Travel Fund.  

  
  For travel funds generated through a voucher code, you can purchase promotional fares through the official website www.sunlightair.ph. 

• Does the Travel Fund expire?

  For Travel Funds processed between June 4, 2025 and August 18, 2026, the validity period is 730 days from the date of the flight disruption.

  For Travel Funds processed on or after August 19, 2026, the Travel Fund is valid indefinitely and does not expire.

• Are there blackout dates when I cannot use my Travel Fund?

  There are no blackout dates for the use of travel funds. Any amount exceeding the fare will be the responsibility of the passengers to pay.

• Can I refund my unused ticket that I purchased through the Travel Fund?

  Please note that the Travel Fund is not refundable. For bookings paid using Travel Fund that are affected by flight cancellations or schedule changes due to flight disruptions, the booking may be rebooked, or the amount may be returned to the Travel Fund, subject to applicable policies. 

• Until when should I use my Travel Fund?

  Travel Funds converted between June 4, 2025 and August 18, 2026 are valid for 730 days from the conversion date and must be used before they expire. However, the travel dates of the new booking may fall beyond the Travel Fund's validity period.
  

  Travel Funds converted on or after August 19, 2026 have no expiration date.
