Update on Sunlight Air Flight 2R 875 – January 5, 2026

Sunlight Air confirms an aircraft incident today involving Flight 2R 875 at Siquijor Airport. All passengers and crew disembarked safely, and no injuries were reported.

Sunlight Air immediately activated its safety and response protocols and is working in close coordination with the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP), airport authorities, and other relevant agencies to assess the incident.

Our utmost priority will always be the safety and well-being of our passengers. In relation to this incident, the following flights have been cancelled today, and support will be provided to affected passengers:

2R 876 – QUJ–CEB | 11:40–12:40
2R 851 – CEB–USU | 13:10–14:50

We regret the inconvenience caused by this incident and appreciate the patience of our passengers as we resolve this matter in accordance with established aviation safety procedures.
